The Problem:
Washington, D.C. rock band Caustic Casanova needed a new WordPress website for their band.
The Challenge
The band was releasing a new album and wanted a more versatile website. I had designed the previous one and the idea was to continue to use WordPress but install a better music player, be more flexible, and use the new album artwork as a basis. The band was fairly particular about what they wanted, and I made sure to deliver something they would like.
The Solution:
We used HTML5 and the 1140 CSS Grid to create a fully-responsive website design. My PHP programming skills helped with some enhanced functionality with WordPress with their new store that was using WooCommerce. The music player relied on plugins to exist, and I used my CSS skills to make sure it blended with the rest of the site.
The Results:
The new design was a hit and music streams increased. Did my design help the band to expand their presence so much that they’re now considered one of the best rock bands around the Washington, D.C. area? I'm not saying it did, but I think it did.
